It is a beautiful and heartbreaking book. Olga, a mother of two children abandoned by her husband Mario. In just a few weeks, the seemingly controlled, reasonable, modern woman Olga believes herself to be gradually and inexorably falls apart, overwhelmed by jealousy, misunderstanding, fatigue and responsibility. In a rapid and overwhelming narrative that passes from stylistic refinement to the most bawdy vulgarity and corporeity, we plunge together with Olga into an abyss that seems to have no end and that also disrupts the lives of her children, her dog and her musician neighbour. In due giorni l’ho divorato, è un libro bellissimo e straziante, ben rappresentato anche dal film di Faenza con Margherita Buy nei panni di Olga, madre di due bambini abbandonata dal marito Mario, nel film interpretato da Zingaretti. In poche settimane l’apparente donna controllata, ragionevole, moderna che crede di essere Olga va gradualmente e inesorabilmente in pezzi, travolta dalla gelosia, dall’incomprensione, dalla fatica e dalle responsabilità. In una narrazione rapida e travolgente che passa dalla ricercatezza stilistica alla più bieca volgarità e corporeità precipitiamo assieme a Olga in un abisso che sembra senza fine e che sconquassa anche le vite dei figli, del cane e del vicino di casa musicista. Sullo sfondo una Torino estiva e il parco del Valentino.
